Corporate tax in the Canton of Zurich and therefore the Winterthur region is moderate by international standards. It does, however, vary from one municipality to another. The Canton of Zurich ranks favorably around the middle of the Swiss cantonal tax rates table.
Taxation of corporate profits
The level of taxation in Winterthur is moderate. Of the five cities in Switzerland that are larger than Winterthur, only Zurich has a slightly lower rate. By international standards, companies in Winterthur benefit from comparatively low tax costs. Especially in surrounding countries such as Germany, France and Italy, the tax burden for legal entities is significantly higher. And Winterthur's personal tax rates are competitive, too.
